TB-500

Compound Overview

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the active region of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a naturally occurring peptide found in many mammalian tissues. While Thymosin Beta-4 is a 43-amino acid protein involved in cellular processes, TB-500 is a shorter synthetic fragment developed for laboratory investigation of its biological activity and peptide pharmacology.

Researchers continue to investigate TB-500 in experimental models to better understand its role in actin dynamics, cellular migration, angiogenesis, cytoskeletal organization, and tissue physiology. Due to its interaction with actin-binding pathways, TB-500 has become a valuable investigational peptide for studying cellular movement, wound biology, extracellular matrix remodeling, and peptide-mediated signaling mechanisms.

As an experimental research compound, TB-500 provides scientists with a useful model for investigating peptide structure-function relationships, intracellular signaling pathways, pharmacokinetics, and molecular mechanisms associated with tissue homeostasis and cellular organization.

Laboratory Handling

Store refrigerated immediately upon receipt to preserve peptide stability. For long-term laboratory storage, freezing at −20°C or below is recommended. Protect the lyophilized peptide from moisture, excessive heat, and direct sunlight. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles following reconstitution, as these may reduce peptide integrity. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening to minimize condensation, and use sterile laboratory equipment together with appropriate aseptic handling techniques. This product is intended for use only by qualified research personnel in controlled laboratory environments.
