AOD-9604
Compound Overview
AOD-9604 (Advanced Obesity Drug 9604), also known as Tyr-hGH (177–191), is a synthetic 16-amino acid peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human growth hormone (hGH). It consists of amino acids 177–191 of hGH with the addition of an N-terminal tyrosine residue and an intramolecular disulfide bond that stabilizes its structure. This modified peptide was developed to investigate the biological activity of the C-terminal domain of growth hormone independent of the full-length hormone.
AOD-9604 has become an important investigational peptide for studying metabolic physiology, peptide pharmacology, and cellular signaling. Researchers continue to investigate its interactions with pathways involved in lipid metabolism, adipocyte biology, energy homeostasis, and molecular signaling. Because it represents only a small functional fragment of human growth hormone, it provides scientists with a valuable model for examining specific peptide-receptor interactions and structure-function relationships.
As an investigational research peptide, AOD-9604 supports laboratory studies involving peptide engineering, pharmacokinetics, cellular biology, and metabolic research in controlled experimental settings.

Laboratory Handling
Store refrigerated immediately upon receipt to preserve peptide stability. For extended laboratory storage, freezing at −20°C or below is recommended. Protect the lyophilized peptide from moisture, excessive heat, and direct light. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles following reconstitution, as these may reduce peptide stability. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening to minimize condensation, and always use sterile laboratory equipment together with appropriate aseptic laboratory techniques. This product is intended for use only by qualified research personnel operating in controlled laboratory environments.
