PNC-27
Compound Overview
PNC-27 is a synthetic 32-amino acid investigational peptide engineered by combining the HDM-2 (MDM2)-binding domain of the human tumor suppressor protein p53 with a membrane residency peptide (MRP) sequence. This design enables PNC-27 to serve as a research tool for investigating protein-protein interactions, membrane biology, and mechanisms of regulated cell death in experimental cellular models.
Researchers have investigated PNC-27 for its interaction with HDM-2 (MDM2) expressed on the plasma membrane of certain experimental cell types. Experimental studies have explored its role in membrane disruption, peptide-target interactions, and cellular signaling associated with protein localization and membrane integrity. These investigations have established PNC-27 as a valuable model peptide for studying p53 biology, peptide engineering, molecular pharmacology, and structure-function relationships in laboratory settings.
As an investigational peptide, PNC-27 supports laboratory research involving oncology, molecular biology, membrane physiology, receptor biology, and peptide engineering.

Laboratory Handling
Store refrigerated immediately upon receipt to preserve peptide stability. For extended laboratory storage, freezing at −20°C or below is recommended. Protect the lyophilized peptide from moisture, excessive heat, and direct light. Following reconstitution, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as these may reduce peptide stability and structural integrity. Allow the vial to equilibrate to room temperature before opening to minimize condensation, and always use sterile laboratory equipment together with appropriate aseptic laboratory techniques. This product is intended for use only by qualified research personnel operating in controlled laboratory environments.
